How this site chooses what to publish.

Jaan Labs LLC writes the guides and the directory. A product is included when its own page, or a public agency's page, states the fact we repeat. A verdict is ours. Payment does not buy the words, the order of a table, or a reviewer we do not have.

How are products chosen?

A comparison row exists when the company's own page stated the things that row needs: what the product is, and a price or a clear statement that no dollar price was printed. The free-pump guide uses public pages from HealthCare.gov, USDA, the IRS, TRICARE, state and hospital pages, and each supplier's own site. If a page did not say it, it is not in the guide.

The directory does not review or rank the Jaan app. Jaan Labs LLC makes that app. One labeled link, on the disclosure page, points to it.

Paid priority reviews

Brand paid for priority review

That label is how a paid priority review is marked on the review itself. No listing carries it today. A brand may pay only to be reviewed within two weeks. The verdict and any score are editorial only. The brand gets no preview, no edits, and no takedown. There is no refund for a bad result. Paying guarantees no listing and no ranking.

This is separate from the labeled sponsor slot. A sponsor is an advertisement, named as a sponsor. A priority review is still a review, and the words stay with Jaan Labs. The sponsor slot is a different offer.

Do paid placements change the order?

No. Staff picks are an editorial list of places to start. They are not a medical ranking. A sponsor, if one is accepted, is labeled as an advertisement. Some links elsewhere on the site may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. Payment and commissions do not change a listing, a staff pick, or the words in a comparison. The comparison tables point at each company's own site. Read the disclosure.

Which sources count?

The source is the page linked under the sentence. Guides name the publisher of that page. A figure, an FDA clearance, or a coverage rule is quoted as what that page says, not as a result we measured. We do not add a price the page did not print. A staff pick is a place to start, not a score a brand can buy.

Who is the author?

The author is Jaan Labs LLC. Bylines say Jaan Labs. There is no named person, no reviewer, and no list of degrees, because this site does not invent those. Nothing here is medical advice.

When is a page checked again?

Listings were checked on 2026-10-16. Guide pages say last checked October 16, 2026. That date is the day the cited pages were read for the sentences now on the site. It is not a promise that a price is still there tomorrow. If a link breaks or a product shuts down, write to hello@getjaan.com.

What do people ask about this policy?

Do you rank products by who pays?

No. A paid priority review buys a place in the two-week queue, not a listing, a rank, or a kinder verdict. Staff picks are a short editorial list of places to start. They are not a medical ranking and not a paid placement. The labeled sponsor slot is a separate advertisement.

What is a paid priority review?

A brand may pay only to be reviewed within two weeks. The review shows a visible label: Brand paid for priority review. Jaan Labs writes the verdict. The brand gets no preview, no edits, and no takedown. A bad result is not refunded. Paying does not guarantee that the product is listed or ranked. This is not the sponsor slot.

Where do the facts come from?

A company's own site, or a public agency such as HealthCare.gov, USDA, the IRS, or TRICARE. If the page we cite does not state a fact, the guide leaves it out. A maker's claim is attributed as what the company says.

How often is a page updated?

Listings and guides carry a last-checked date. The current check date is October 16, 2026. A price can change the next day. Corrections go to hello@getjaan.com.

Who writes this?

Jaan Labs LLC. Pages do not name an individual author or a reviewer, and they do not list degrees or credentials. The directory does not review or rank the Jaan app.
