Privacy policy
Privacy is a reason Jaan exists, so this page says exactly what the website does. Last updated October 17, 2026.
The short version
- You can read the whole site without an account.
- The website never asks for cycle, fertility, pregnancy, or other health information.
- If you give us your email for the newsletter or the app waitlist, it goes to Brevo, our email provider.
- The Jaan app page and the Journal use Google Analytics to count visits. The tools directory, the hub, and these legal pages don't.
- There are no advertising pixels, retargeting, or social media trackers on this site.
- We don't sell your personal information.
Who we are
getjaan.com is run by Jaan Labs LLC, an Alaska limited liability company based in Anchorage, Alaska. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Jaan Labs LLC.
What this policy covers
This policy covers the website at getjaan.com: the hub, the tools directoryand its guides, the Jaan app page, the Journal,Safety, and these legal pages.
The Jaan iPhone app isn't released yet. It will get its own privacy details at launch, including its App Store privacy label. This policy doesn't cover data inside the app.
What we collect, and why
Hosting
Vercel hosts the site. Like any web host, Vercel receives the standard information a browser sends with each request, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. It uses this to deliver the site and keep it secure. We haven't added Vercel Analytics or Vercel Speed Insights.
Google Analytics, on the app page and the Journal only
The pages at /app and /app/blog load Google Analytics (measurement ID G-7SWQ9W25PK). It tells us which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from. Google receives the page you view, your browser and device type, and your IP address, from which it estimates a general location. It sets cookies whose names start with _ga. We don't send Google your name, your email, or anything you type into a form. The hub, the tools directory and its guides, Safety, and these legal pages don't load Google Analytics.
Newsletter
The directory newsletter is optional. If you sign up on the newsletter page or on a guide, your browser sends the email address you typed to Brevo, at api.brevo.com, which adds it to our newsletter list. We use it only to email you when a listing changes.
App waitlist
If you join the waitlist on the Jaan app page, your browser sends your email to Brevo, on a list separate from the newsletter. We use it only to tell you when the app launches. While you use that form, the page loads Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person, not a bot, is submitting it. Cloudflare receives information about your browser and device to do that check, and it may set a cookie for it.
Settings saved in your browser
- Color vision. If you turn the Color vision control on or off, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage as
jaan-cv. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. - Waitlist. After you submit the waitlist form, the page saves the time in local storage as
jaan_waitlist_tsso the form isn't sent twice within a minute. It stays on your device. - Quick exit. Quick exit clears this site's session storage in your browser as it leaves. It doesn't send anything to us.

Email you send us
If you write to hello@getjaan.com, we receive what you send and use it to reply.
Sponsors
A company that buys a sponsor placement pays through a Stripe payment link we send by email. Stripe processes that payment, and we don't see or store full card numbers. No payment form runs on this site.
What we never do
- Sell your personal information.
- Ask you to create an account to read the site.
- Collect cycle, fertility, pregnancy, or other health information on the website.
- Load advertising pixels, retargeting tags, or social media trackers.
- Add your newsletter or waitlist email to any list you didn't sign up for.
Fonts and images
Our fonts and images are served from getjaan.com. Pages don't request fonts from Google or images from other companies' servers, so reading a page doesn't contact those companies.
Links to other companies
The directory links to other companies' sites and App Store pages. When you follow a link, that company's own privacy policy applies. We don't receive your account or health data from those sites.
Affiliate links
Some product links may become affiliate links. If you buy through one, Jaan Labs LLC may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The retailer or its affiliate network may then use a cookie on its own site to credit the sale. Commissions and sponsorships never change a ranking or a review, and an affiliate arrangement isn't a sale of your personal information. The disclosure has the details.
We use the Pinterest API only to publish our own pins to our own boards. We don't access or collect visitors' Pinterest data.
How long we keep it
We keep a newsletter or waitlist email until you ask us to remove it or the list is closed. Google keeps Google Analytics data for the period set in our Analytics account. Vercel keeps its hosting logs under its own policies.
Security
Every page is served over HTTPS, and browsers are told to use only secure connections to getjaan.com.
Your choices and rights
- To leave the newsletter or the waitlist, or to have your email deleted, email us and we'll remove it.
- You can block or clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
- Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, and to correct or delete it. Email us, and we'll answer whether or not your state or country requires it.
Children
This website is written for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us an email address, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we update it here and change the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll say so on this page.
