Accessibility
Health information should work for everyone who needs it. We build getjaan.com so you can read it the way you read best.
Our goal
Our goal is for getjaan.com to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We haven't been certified, and we don't claim full conformance yet. We test our pages and fix what we find, and this page lists what's still open.
Built into every page
- Color vision. A Color vision control in the header adds cues that don't depend on color, such as double-underlined links and higher-contrast navigation. If your device asks for more contrast and you haven't chosen, it turns on by itself. Your choice is saved on your device.
- Quick exit. One tap on Quick exit leaves the site for a neutral page. Pressing Escape three times quickly does the same. It also clears this site's session storage and replaces the current page in your browser history.
- Readable contrast. Text is set in solid colors, never faded with transparency, and we check text against WCAG contrast ratios.
- Skip to content. A skip link lets keyboard and screen reader users go straight to the main content.
- Visible focus. Links and buttons show a clear outline when you reach them with a keyboard.
- Zoom. Pages never block pinch-to-zoom or text resizing.
- Reduced motion. If your device asks for less motion, smooth scrolling and animated transitions are reduced.
- Image descriptions. Every image has a text alternative.
- Clear structure. Pages declare their language, and navigation marks the page you're on.
How we test
We run automated WCAG 2.2 AA checks on our pages at phone size, and we check each new page before it's listed. Automated tools can't find every barrier, so we also rely on what you tell us.
Known limitations
As of October 17, 2026, we know about these issues and are working on them:
- On the Jaan app page, some small feature tags have less text contrast than WCAG AA asks for.
- We haven't yet completed a full manual review with a screen reader.
- Sites we link to are run by other companies, and we can't control how accessible they are.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on getjaan.com is hard to use, email hello@getjaan.com with the page and what happened. If you need information from a page in another format, ask and we'll send it. We aim to reply within three business days.
